The Queensland State Government identified Palmview as a ‘bring forward’ greenfield site in June 2008 under the State’s Housing Affordability Strategy.

Palmview is currently in the planning stages, with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council recently releasing its revised Palmview Position Paper, outlining its direction for the community (June 2009).

The Position Paper will form the basis of Council’s structure plan for Palmview and once completed will be approved by the State Government for public for consultation.
